About Us
Our Founder & Director
Dr. Lynne Picker and her husband, Don, have worked in Asia since 1990. Dr. Picker holds an Ed.D. in educational leadership from Bethel University, St. Paul, MN, and an M.A. in Music from Northern Illinois University. Dr. Picker speaks Mandarin Chinese, and Cantonese and has taught music for over 40 years. Originally from rural Minnesota, Dr. Picker grew up in a musical family and began studying the piano at age six. She writes, “Music has had an incredible impact on my life, and I want nothing more than give my students a chance to experience music’s transformative power. I’m confident that when students study music, it fosters self-confidence and prepares them to hear God’s tender loving voice as they discover their unique musical talent.”
Our Mission
Supporting orphanages, foster homes, and rehabilitation centers in the Greater Mekong Subregion by designing, implementing, and sustaining culturally informed music programs for youth affected by trauma.
